DIMAC Systems, based in Luxemburg, is finalizing the development of the DiMAC Camera, a revolutionary large format Digital Modular Aerial Camera designed to replace film-based aerial cameras, enabling small, medium or large scale mapping. Its modular design fits every image operator's needs, allowing to combine 1, 2, 3 or 4 camera modules together (true-color and IR) and producing 1, 2, 3 or 4 individual images simultaneously. Its very reasonable price makes this system affordable for any photogrammetric company.
DiMAC is a system capable of combining several camera modules into a cylindrical frame and offering the following features:
Modular form: each camera module consists of 5440 x 4080 (effective) Pixel Matrix CCD Sensor (with lens 60mm to 150mm focal length) & electronic shutter module combination;
TRUE FMC system (Forward Motion Compensation) included in each module for sharp and noise-free images;
TRUE Color Digital Images: Each pixel gets its own original color directly after the image acquisition;
Open Architecture design: via the slope interface plates, the image footprint can be adapted in relation to focal length of lenses;
Excellent results at low, medium and high flight altitudes;
Upgradeable system with its progressive design that follows the evolution of the Matrix Sensor technology (size and capacity of color sensors);
Acute visibility in the shadows (8 or 16 bit/color) allowing high performance image acquisition under various light conditions due to excellent color dynamics;
In-flight quality control (exposure, luminosity and contrast) due to immediate acquisition of photos;
Storage capacity of up to 3000 images per camera module on 2 removable hard disk drives with the added safety of mirroring technology (instant back up);
Direct and easy implementation of the images in the existing digital workflow production of orthophoto and photogrammetry;
Cost effective.
